7/8/09 Ok, bullshit meter is going through the roof on this one. Why do we, in the USA, always act like the problems of the world are somehow a threat to us, as if we were so important? This article describes how climate change can disturb the politics of affected areas for the worse, which is obviously true. But then it somehow tries to say that this is a threat to our national security, and that we will probably have to intervene militarily in the future. They cite political disasters that came from climate change in Bangladesh and Darfur - did we do anything? No. But if climate change causes a 'disaster' in the Middle-East I am sure we will have our guns ready.
